Depoe Bay is a coastal city in Lincoln County. At the 2010 US Census, its population was about 1,400. One of Depoe Bay’s claims to fame is its bay, because at 6 acres it is the world’s smallest navigable harbor. Another one is that the fishing trip sequence in the 1975 movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest was filmed in Depoe Bay.

In fact, Depoe Bay is known as the “Whale Watching Capital of the Oregon Coast.” Another cool feature of the city is its huge sea wall that runs the length of the downtown area which enables visitors to always be within view of the ocean.
  • Depoe Bay Chamber of Commerce – The Chamber was created over 60 years ago and is still all about promoting business, events and the community. Although Depoe Bay is a small community, it is a mighty community and it is fortunate to be home to so many wonderful public and private organizations.
